"1-Methylcyclopropene" (English name 1-Methylcyclopropene) is abbreviated as 1-MCP. It is a small cycloolefin with a molecular weight of 54. It is a new type of ethylene inhibitor discovered by American biologists in the 1990s. It is the most effective preservative used by people in recent years, and it has been widely used in fruit production in developed countries. The test proves that 1-methylcyclopropene can be used to treat these ethylene receptors before the endogenous ethylene is produced in large quantities. This prevents the formation of ethylene receptor complexes and blocks the ethylene-induced Signaling. Thereby slowing down the physiological and biochemical reactions such as ripening and aging of fruits and vegetables, delaying the ripening and aging of fruits, and achieving the effect of keeping fresh. The birth of this technology is hailed as a revolution in the preservation technology of fruits and vegetables worldwide. Through the inspection of multiple authoritative institutions, this preservative is harmless to humans and will not cause pollution to the environment. The US Environmental Protection Agency has exempted its application restrictions and it is officially registered in the United States on July 17, 2002.
The use of 1-methylcyclopropene is very small, the amount is calculated in micrograms, and the method of use is fumigation. When it is used, as long as the space for storing fruits and vegetables is sealed for a prescribed time, and then ventilated, the effect of storage and freshness can be achieved. Especially for the fruits and vegetables of respiratory jump type, fumigation treatment within 1-10 days after picking can prolong the preservation time of 2-3 times. Taking apples and pears as examples, the fresh-keeping period can be extended from the original normal 3-5 months to 8-9 months. A large number of tests and practical applications have proved that 1-methylcyclopropene treatment of fruits can replace the effect of modified atmosphere storage. For most apple varieties, after they’re treated with 1-methylcyclopropene, the preservation effect is generally better than that of modified atmosphere storage. 1-Methylcyclopropene is not only effective, but also economical and easy to operate. It is currently the most advanced preservative for extending storage and shelf life of fruits, vegetables and flowers.

l Crops suitable for treatment with 1-methylcyclopropene:

l Instructions for 1-methylcyclopropene:
1. Normal temperature fumigation can be carried out in an environment of 10 ℃ -25 ℃, fumigation time is 8-12 hours. In the case of cold storage or overwintering (0 ℃ -13 ℃), the fumigation treatment time should be properly extended, generally 12-24 hours. After the time is up, you can ventilate.
2. When fumigating, please close the fumigation space immediately, do not make the air in the space convection with the outside air, so as not to lose active gas.
3. Fumigation treatment with preservatives within 1-7 days after the harvest of agricultural products has the best effect, and the preservation period is most obvious.
l Method of Application
Our 1-methylcyclopropene is available in solid powder form(1-MCP 3.3% CG and 1-MCP 0.014% CG), and the effective ingredient is 1-methylcyclopropene gas. Because of its low concentration, the place must be airtight during treatment. When using preservatives, appropriate temperature, humidity control and sterilization measures should be combined to avoid dehydration and mildew of fruits and vegetables during storage. The usage of the powder form:
Powder is mainly used in larger storage spaces, such as cold storage, modified atmosphere storage, containers, etc. How to use:
1. First calculate the volume of storage space (length × width × height) (m³). For 1-methylcyclopropene preservative,each gram can handle 16-20 m³ of storage space.
2. Calculate the most suitable dosage according to the ambient temperature, space volume and predetermined processing time.
3. Pour the powder into the cup, and then fix the cup at a relatively high position in the space, then add 30-40 ml of solvent (purified water) to the cup and quickly seal the storage room for fumigation.
The fumigation method of the crypt:
Method 1: Collect the agricultural products that need to be kept fresh on a bin board or shelf, wrap the agricultural products tightly with a thick plastic tent, and then perform fumigation treatment in the tent.
Method 2: Fumigate directly in the warehouse (cellar). However, during fumigation, the warehouse (cellar) must be tightly sealed and must not leak.
